Ferry Tales welcomes author Jim Lynch during the group’s gathering on Thursday, Sept. 19, on the 3:50 to 4:20 p.m. sailing from Bainbridge Island to Seattle, and the 4:40 to 5:15 p.m. sailing from Seattle to Bainbridge Island.

Lynch is an award-winning Pacific Northwest author. His newest novel, “Truth like the Sun,” has been compared to the TV show “Mad Men” and movies like “Chinatown” and “Citizen Kane.”

The group will meet at the front of the boat.
