To the editor:

On behalf of Bainbridge Island Rowing Board of Directors, I want to share some of the best of Bainbridge Island spirit with you.

With the untimely closing of Eagle Harbor a week before our Junior Team Nationals and two weeks prior to our Masters Team Regionals, we found ourselves scrambling for alternative rowing locations.

We contacted a few neighbors along Crystal Springs Drive and were welcomed by all to accommodate temporary storage of several of our racing shells, oars and supporting equipment and to access the low-bank waterfront a few hundred yards to the south for shell launch and recovery.

We are extremely grateful to avoid loss of precious rowing practice time and thankful for the generosity of Bainbridge Island neighbors.
