To the editor:

I’m writing to enthusiastically endorse Anthony Oddo for Position 1 on the Bainbridge Island City Council. I’ve talked with him quite a bit over the past few months and he always impresses me with his experience dealing with complex issues, his curiosity and willingness to listen and learn. He has the ability to see all sides of an issue. I know he has reached out to an impressive number of community leaders to build relationships and to explore new ideas. He is a good listener who will build bridges, seek constructive compromise and encourage rational evaluation of the challenges that face us around issues like water resources, affordable housing and environmental protection.

He also has a good sense of humor and doesn’t take himself too seriously — an important asset in a community leaders.
