To the editor:

On behalf of the over 80 Islanders with MS and their families, we’d like to thank the 500-plus people who walked, volunteered, and/or made donations to the 2014 Walk MS.

With this year’s $88,000, the Bainbridge Island walk site has raised $680,000 since 2007 for MS research and services. What a generous place we live in!

Many thanks to pioneer chapter sponsor Virginia Mason, our long-time community sponsor Ihland Garden Dental Care, online media sponsor Inside Bainbridge and our supporting sponsors Island Fitness, Town & Country Markets, Dr. Lucia Vracin, New Motion Physical Therapy, Harrison Medical Center, the Icon Group, and McKenzie Coldwell Banker. And, of course, our many in-kind sponsors including the Kitsap Sun, Pegasus, Bon Bon Confections, Columbia Bank, HomeStreet Bank, BI Zero Waste, BI Amateur Radio, the Rotary Club, Integrated Wellness Center, Pretty Stick, Soup’r Burger, Bainbridge High School, Sound Repro, the HEP Replacements, BHS Band, Pan d’Amore, and Smooth-e.
