To the editor:

It has been evident for some time that drivers are not coming to a complete stop at stop signs around the island.

Instead they slow, then, if clear, keep going.

Recently, some drivers found out the hard way why this is not kosher, having been ticketed by law enforcement.

You could be next. Please be responsible.
