Disappointed with building’s design | Letters | June 18

There are so many thoughtful people on this island who work hard in many ways to preserve its beauty and character.

I am absolutely shocked at the ultra contemporary art museum that is to go on the island’s most visible corner as part of the Island Gateway project, replacing the existing historic building.

It is so hard to understand how this design would be the outcome of extensive input of our community, and decided on as appropriate for our quaint island.
