Andrews has all the knowledge, and no baggage, for assessor’s job | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

Paul Andrews offers us a true fresh perspective in the assessor’s office. He has all the knowledge of the office without the baggage. We have an opportunity this week to cast our votes for the one person who will finally bring us transparency in the assessment process.

For the last 16 years we have been saddled with Jim Avery, a career real estate broker. It is clear we will have more of the same with Cook, who is already deep in the pocket of the Home Builders Association. If you’re not sure about that just look at who they endorsed and how much they have contributed to his campaign.

Andrews will be able to represent all of Kitsap County’s taxpayers fairly, without the bias that the Home Builders require of Cook. Andrews has the background to see that the office is responsive to our needs, Cook has only ever worked for himself. Andrews has shown us he has a plan for bringing us more services to meet our needs, Cook has just complained that the office is broken and never offered solutions.

It is time that we look out for our own best interests and vote for Andrews, it is just common sense.
