Against those who seek reelection | Letters | Aug. 6

It is time to clean house and elect statesmen rather than career politicians.

The career politicians in charge in Washington, D.C., will do anything to buy our votes to get reelected and keep their careers going by making the government so much a part of our lives that we won’t dare to vote them out office and thus lose the benefits they promise – be it pork projects, unemployment insurance, social security, free medical care, their benevolent supervision of our lives, etc.

The ends justify the means to these people and they will stop at nothing to get their way. Now that the American people are waking up and their one-party state is at risk, their alleged desire for bipartisanship is at an end.

If we speak against their attempt to turn America into a socialist state they turn nasty and accuse the loyal opposition of being racist and wanting a return of the evil Bush era and then stoop to accusing everyone in D.C. of playing the same game. Don’t believe it. Don’t be fooled.

We will soon see the politics of personal destruction in full force. They can’t win in an honest exchange of ideas so they turn to demonizing (lying about) the opposition. Don’t let them distract you from the task at hand. This year vote out career politicians and vote in those who don’t care if they get reelected.
