All the world’s a stage, even for cats. Stop by the Bainbridge Performing Arts Gallery in May for “Theatrical Cats,” a whimsical collection of colored-pencil assemblages by Susan Eileen Wiersema.
In this collection, Wiersema creates her own small theatres. She chose the poems of T.S. Eliot as her scripts. Her reflection on the poetry inspired new images and created a special vehicle for the use of her colored pencils, and of course, her cats.
“With theatre and cats,” she said, “you can’t really go wrong.”
A special artist reception will be held at the BPA Gallery for the First Fridays Art Walk from 5 to 7 p.m. May 2. All are welcome for a fun evening of art, food and friends.
Gallery hours throughout the month are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, plus one hour prior to each performance. Admission is free at BPA, 200 Madison Ave. North.
