Ovation! Musical Theatre Bainbridge and Sean Parker Architects are proud to present the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical “Evita” as the theatre’s 25th production.

“‘Evita’ has been on my short list for a long time,” said Ovation! artistic director Ron Milton.

“I am attracted to powerful shows with dynamic, conflicted characters,” he said. “At its heart, this show is a love story. This show — with its magnificent score — is perfect for Ovation! and I couldn’t be more pleased with the dynamic cast I’ve assembled.”

Michelle Lorenz Odell will star as Eva Peron, with Ryan Patrick O’Donnell as Che and Ian Kelly and Juan Peron. James Sgambati will play Augustin Magaldi and the part of “The Mistress” will be played by Sarah Mather for the first half of production, and Rowan Lanning for the second.

The show is slated for 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays from Friday, July 18 to Aug. 3 at the Bainbridge High School theatre.

Tickets range in price from $19 to $27 and can be purchased now at www.brownpapertickets.com and at Winslow Drug in downtown Winslow.

In addition to the show stopper “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” the score includes many other well known songs including “Rainbow High,” “A New Argentina,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall” and much more.

“The Evita score is complex and a thrill to play and lead,” said music director and conductor Elizabeth Faye. “I have assembled a top-notch orchestra of local musicians who share my love of the music and commitment to bringing the composer’s intent to life.”

Debbie Pierce returns as choreographer for the production, with Abby Wyatt as costume designer.
