IslandWood presents “Nature’s Nurturers: A Celebration of Mothers” at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 11.

There is nothing like a mother’s love and wild animal mothers are no exception. From the deepest oceans to the leafy treetops – mothers of all species are caring for their babies with dedication and courage. IslandWood welcomes the whole family for a celebratory look at wild animal mothers and the work they do to nourish, teach and protect their young. The family-friendly nature program is great for all ages.

Hike the trails and enjoy a Mother’s Day tea complete with homemade sweet and savory fare. There will be a selection of fresh and seasonal bites like quiche, wraps, chocolate torte, smoked salmon and more.
