Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

SUNDAY, FEB. 25

8:49 a.m. A Gig Harbor couple reported an unauthorized use of their credit card after using it during a trip to Bainbridge.

The card is seldom used, they told police. And, after using it during a recent trip to Bainbridge, they received notice of an attempted online purchase — $650 in clothing — from a company they were unfamiliar with. The transaction was canceled for unknown reasons.

Police contacted the clothing company, requesting details about the attempted purchase.

A report was filed.

12:06 p.m. Police were called to a home to mediate a verbal fight between a mother, 55, and daughter, 19.

The daughter’s vehicle would not start, she said, and she wanted to borrow her mother’s car to go to her boyfriend’s house.

The mother, meanwhile, said she did not want her daughter to drive at the time because the Chilly Hilly bicycle ride was going on.

Eventually, police were able to calm the women and the mother agreed to drive her daughter to her boyfriend’s house.
