Jacob Knostman, Cameron Parker and Alex Crane combined to score nine goals as the Bainbridge boys’ lacrosse team put forth a dominant performance in a 13-9 win over Issaquah Wednesday night in a Division I state semifinal game.
The win puts Bainbridge in the championship game at Memorial Stadium in Seattle Center for the first time since 2008, when they lost to the Eagles. The Spartans will face arch rival Mercer Island Saturday at 7 p.m., who beat Bellevue 9-5.
Bainbridge got out to a 2-1 lead as Jacob Goodman and Alex Rabin scored off of assists from Parker and Sam Deery-Schmitt.
The Spartans possessed the ball for long periods of time to control the clock. Bainbridge went on a 9-0 run between the second and third period to end the game.
Matt O’Neil, Kevin Powers and Jake Fritz all had four goals for Issaquah.
