Another car tax? Why not a bicycle tax? Why not a yearly bicycle registration?

Oh wait, we can’t do that, it might make cyclists obey the “rules of the road.”

Yes, I see a handful of cyclist stopping at stop signs and red lights every week (and I don’t have to take my shoes off to count how many).

Just imagine if running a stop sign were to net a citation.

The city might just have more money. Hey, you pass a school bus with the flashing lights and paddle out, you better be prepared to dig deep into your pockets.

They want cars to “share the road” (and I am happy to do it), but they want if for FREE, and as we all know nothing is free.

I already have my knickers in an uproar.

Why don’t cyclist have to carry liability insurance?

I personally know of two accidents with the cyclist 100 percent at fault and no citations issued and major body damage to the vehicle.

The only recourse was a lawsuit to recoup damages.
