Bainbridge Island city staff collected a truckload of food for Helpline House on Friday.
After employees heard of the overwhelming demand for goods at Helpline, over 750 pounds of food was collected in about eight hours.
All the donated food items were delivered by staff members Lara Lant, Kelly Jahraus and Kate Brown, who also helped organize the food drive.
“It’s great to help people out, Jahraus said. “The best thing is that it’s been really fun for everyone too.”
