Tuesday, Feb. 12

12:10 p.m. A Seattle woman reported that her prescription drugs were stolen while she visited Bainbridge Island.

2:12 p.m. A manhole cover on Halls Hill Road was pried open. Residents guessed that someone went inside the manhole, or that an animal could have gotten inside. Damage was $1,000.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

4:25 a.m. Police responded to a home on High School Road when a man wanted his brother removed from the residence. Both men were intoxicated. It was discovered that the brother had a $25,000 warrant for a DUI charge. The brother was arrested and taken to jail.

Friday, Feb. 15

3:28 p.m. A home on Sunrose Lane was burglarized. The homeowner left the home, locked, at 2:30 p.m. to pick up his children from school. When he returned he found his closet door closed, but said he never closes the door. He then discovered that a box full of baseball cards and all his valuable coins were missing. The man told police that the day before a young man, approximately 18-23, with a shaved head came to his door and was startled that he was home. The young man asked for “Gus” and then left in a BMW. Neighbors observed a BMW in his driveway while the homeowner was picking up his kids.
