Goat cheese, purple mashed potatoes, kale chips, rhubarb crisp and deviled eggs were on the menu for the Earth Day Buffet at The Island School.
To promote the advantages of eating locally, each class created a dish made from a local food source — eggs from family flocks, veggies from family gardens — and shared with all members of the school.
The Island School is an independent school educating students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
