Bainbridge Island Garden Club holds annual plant sale Saturday

The Bainbridge Island Garden Club, now in its 77th year, will hold its annual plant sale — rain or shine — from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 11 at the ACE Hardware parking lot on High School Road.

Available at the sale will be a wide selection of plants, shrubs and trees locally grown by club members.

Proceeds from the sale are primarily used to fund an annual scholarship awarded to a graduating Bainbridge Island High senior who will be majoring in horticulture or environmental studies in college.

Organizers of the sale advise shoppers to come early for the best choice.
