Drop-off sites from Bainbridge Island to Port Orchard have been set up for Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts from Nov. 14-21.
Operation Christmas Child has been collecting and delivering shoebox gifts—filled with school supplies, hygiene items and toys—to children worldwide since 1993. Anyone can participate. The Samaritan’s Purse Project hopes to collect enough shoeboxes to reach 11 million children this year alone.
Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 198 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 170 countries and territories. This year, Operation Christmas Child will collect its 200 millionth shoebox.
