Weed Warriors is looking for helpers for an afternoon of native plant restoration work on Saturday, March 2 at Rotary Ball Park.
Volunteers will gather at the park from 2 to 4 p.m. and will remove invasive ivy and Scotch broom.
The group will start at the lower path through the forest (near the batting cage) and leave the ivy in a pile where it will be easy for Bainbridge parks employees to pick up in the lower parking lot.
Volunteers should bring garden gloves and their favorite tools for ivy destruction, but some tools will be available for those without.
Weed Warriors is a nonprofit and a volunteer coalition of amateur and professional gardeners and environmental activists who remove noxious weeds and restore native plants on the island.
