Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

SUNDAY, MAY 21

1:40 a.m. A hit-and-run occurred at the intersection of Highway 305 and High School Road. An unidentified dark blue car rear-ended a 29-year-old Bainbridge Island man driving a 2001 Subaru Legacy.

There was damage to the rear of the Subaru, and one passenger complained of neck pain.

There were no clues as to the make or model of the car that fled the scene.

MONDAY, MAY 22

12:28 a.m. A 34-year-old Bainbridge man was cited for driving with a suspended license. The man was driving a yellow Ford Mustang convertible, and both he and the car were known to police from prior interactions.

An officer noted the car when it was seemingly going faster than the posted speed limit in the area of Highway 305 and Reitan Road, though it was out of sight before radar could be utilized. The driver was eventually pulled over in the parking lot of the Clearwater Casino.

A citation, with court date, was issued.

4:50 p.m. A report of an alleged assault brought police to a North End home.

A married couple were having an argument, the man was standing in the bathroom, and the wife would not move out of his way so he could leave the room.

The man moved his wife, he said, by putting his hands on her waist and moving her aside.

She fell down, and was not injured. The woman then called her friend to pick her up.
