Spartans squeak past Gig Harbor

GIG HARBOR – The Bainbridge High varsity boys water polo team managed a 10-6 win, their most competitive of the year so far, against Gig Harbor High School on the road Monday, Sept. 26.

The victory advanced the squad’s flawless 5-0 overall season record.

Sam Kapel led the Spartan scoring machine with five goals.

Mason Ogden put up two goals and Harrison Shinohara, Jack Kapel and Max Eyrich each managed one.

The island squad hosted Wilson High late this week in advance of their home matchup at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 against Stadium High.
