A white Christmas? Forecasters are predicting a slight — that’s slight — chance of snow for Christmas Day on the island.

According to the National Weather Service’s office in Seattle, Bainbridge will see some wet weather heading into the Christmas holiday, with cooling temperatures and a chance of rain and snow showers before 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25.

Mostly sunny weather will follow and stretch through Saturday, according to the forecast for Bainbridge Island.

Here’s how the rest of your holiday week weather should go.

There’s an 80 percent chance of showers Wednesday night, followed by a 30 percent chance of scattered showers Thursday.

Later in the day on Christmas Eve, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 44.

On Christmas Day, after the slight chance of rain and snow showers in the morning, expect a mostly sunny day with a high near 41 degrees.

Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 40.

On Sunday, it will be mostly cloudy, with a chance of rain and a high near 41.

More rain is likely Sunday night.

And on Monday: more showers, mostly cloudy, and a high near 44.
