Special author event with Robert Michael Pyle comes to BIMA

Author Robert Michael Pyle will talk with Bainbridge author David Guterson about Pyle’s classic “Wintergreen: Rambles in a Ravaged Land,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.

“Wintergreen” was recently reprinted in an anniversary edition.

In Pyle’s vivid portrayal of the land, plants, people and animals of the Willapa Hills of Washington state, the naturalist makes the modest patch of land he writes about a metaphor for the world.
