Jazz pianist to play in concert at Waterfront Park Community Center

San Francisco Bay-area pianist William Beatty will visit Bainbridge for a special concert featuring works by Bach, Beethoven, Debussy and Chopin — as well as his own compositions — at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Waterfront Park Community Center.
Beatty will explore the process of improvisations morphing into compositions, spontaneous composing, the crystallizing of themes and variations, harmonic and rhythmic devices, and the art of “playing changes.”
Donations of $5 to $10 will be gladly accepted.
