BIMA to host author talk Tuesday

Annie Barrows, co-author of “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society,” will visit the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 for an in-depth conversation with Bainbridge Island author Carol Cassella about her latest novel, “The Truth According to Us.”

Barrows once again evokes the charm and eccentricity of a small town filled with extraordinary characters in her latest book, which takes place in West Virginia in the summer of 1938. The story involves a young girl, her beloved aunt and the alluring visitor who changes the course of their destiny forever.

Best-selling author Cassella, author of “Oxygen,” “Healer” and “Gemini,” will join Barrows on stage in a conversation about the book, characters, writing and the research behind this Depression-era novel.

This is a special ticketed event. Admission is free but attendance is limited due to available seating. Interested parties should contact Eagle Harbor Book Company to reserve a seat at www.eagleharborbooks.com or call 206-842-5332.
