Deadline nears for BAC scholarships

Attention graduating Bainbridge seniors — the application process is now open for Bainbridge Arts & Crafts’s 2015 Scholarship Program.

Bainbridge Arts & Crafts offers three scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Bainbridge Island who plan to study art: The Pauli Family Scholarship ($2,000), the Rosalyn Gale Powell Scholarship ($1,000) and the Sissel Feroy Scholarship ($1,000).

The gallery’s three high school scholarships are awarded each year to graduating seniors who plan to continue their study of art. Submissions are judged by volunteer professional artists who are represented by Bainbridge Arts & Crafts. Their decisions are made on the basis of mastery of medium, creativity, presentation and essay.

Applications are due by 6 p.m. Friday, April 17.
