More thought should be given on development | LETTER TO THE EDITOR To the editor:

As a resident of Bainbridge Island, I am writing this letter to voice my displeasure at the ongoing Visconsi development on High School Road.

I am constantly disgusted each time I drive by the clear-cut trees and removal of the significant older structures which were both island landmarks. Why? So we can have unnecessary and unwanted retail sites to add to the existing empty storefronts across Highway 305.

In my opinion, I think that if there are to be any more developments on Bainbridge, considerations should be made on building them in different areas of the island. This would keep more people closer to home, and out if the congested downtown core.
