Spartans stop Nathan Hale 55-39 in boys basketball win Tuesday

The Bainbridge High varsity basketball team dominated the visitors from Nathan Hale Tuesday during a lopsided 55-39 victory in Paski Gymnasium.

The Spartans led early and controlled the court throughout the competition as the Raiders found themselves quickly outmatched.

Blake Swanson led the home team’s scoring efforts, ending the game with 17 points.

Ben Beatie scored 10 and Trent Schulte chipped in eight points as well for BHS.

The win at home evened the team’s overall season record to 5-5, though they remain 0-3 in league play.

The team will travel to face off against West Seattle at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16.
