New exhibitions at The Island Gallery features textile art, sculptures

The Island Gallery presents “Fashion & Art for the Home” in September at the gallery.

The show from Sept. 5 through Sept. 28 and features new work from textile artists David, Amy Nguyen, Maggy Pavlou, Roselle and Carol Lee Shanks; geometric abstract minimalist paintings by Irene Yesley of Bainbridge Island; illuminated sculptures by L. Wendy Dunder of Portland, Oregon; and wood collaborations for the home.

An opening reception is from 6 to 8 p.m. on First Friday, Sept. 5. Music will be provided by Peter Spencer & Friends on the plaza.

The Island Gallery is at 400 Winslow Way E., Suite 120.
