Mike Spence is running for re-election to the school board for the Bainbridge Island School District.
Spence, who is currently chairman of the board, is running for the District 2 seat.
He’s the second candidate for the position.
Dale Perry filed as a candidate on Wednesday.
The nonpartisan office carries a four-year term. School board members are uncompensated.
Spence was first elected to the position in November 2009 and joined the board in 2010. He has served as Governmental Affairs Director/Legal Counsel for Seattle-King County Association of Realtors, and is a founding member of Harrison, Benis & Spence, a Seattle law firm.
