Bainbridge ferry passenger ramp repair delayed until Wednesday

Washington State Ferries expects to complete repairs Wednesday on the overhead passenger ramp at the Bainbridge terminal.

The ramp has been out of commission since Sunday morning, when a hydraulic component broke. WSF spokesperson Susan Harris said it took maintenance personnel some time to diagnose the problem and the hydraulic part had to be special ordered. The repairs were originally expected to be done Tuesday afternoon, but have since been delayed until Wednesday.

The malfunction has caused some service delays. Passengers have been loading via the car deck.
