Election results: Inslee rebuffs challenge from Ishmael

U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee of Bainbridge Island has a wide lead in his rematch with Republican businessman Larry Ishmael of Redmond.

Inslee had swept up more than 69 percent of the 175,687 votes counted in the 1st Congressional District, which includes portions of Kitsap, King and Snohomish Counties. Ishmael had garnered 30.77 percent of votes.

Ishmael first challenged Inslee in 2006, winning 32 percent of votes after just four months of campaigning.
