West Seattle walks away with 76-25 hoops victory over BHS girls

The West Seattle Wildcats left a mark last week when they trounced the Bainbridge High varsity girls basketball team 76-25.

SEATTLE – The West Seattle Wildcats left a mark last week when they trounced the Bainbridge High varsity girls basketball team 76-25.

Bainbridge was significantly outscored in every quarter, though they managed a bit of a fight in the first as they trailed 23-10.

West Seattle ran away with the second quarter, outscoring BHS 19-5.

BHS would not score more than five points in any quarter after that.

Spartan senior Paige Brigham tallied the most points for the Spartans, putting up eight in the game.

Kayla Buchmeier ended the night with four points for BHS.

The loss on the road brought the Spartans’ overall team record to 3-8 (0-3 in league play). They remain the in sixth-place in the Metro League, behind Seattle Prep.
