With the Spartans’ baseball field still too soggy for action, the anticipated matchup between Bainbridge and Port Angeles for Monday, March 17, has been postponed.

The BHS varsity tennis team travels to Seattle Monday to play Bishop Blanchet at Lower Woodland Tennis Courts. Action starts at 3:30 p.m.

The Spartans junior varsity players will stay home to face off against Bishop Blanchet’s JV squad. Play begins at 3:30 p.m.

The Spartan junior varsity boys lacrosse team also hits the road today, for a 6 p.m. matchup against Bellevue’s “C” team.

On Tuesday, the Bainbridge boys varsity lacrosse team hosts Skyline at Memorial Stadium. The contest has a 6 p.m. start.

Bainbridge is coming off a 10-3 loss to defending state champs Bellevue on Saturday, and Skyline takes the field again after a 16–2 win over the Fighting Irish of O’Dea Saturday at Skyline High in Sammamish.

The fastpitch softball season starts Tuesday with the Spartans trekking to Central Kitsap.

Both the varsity and the junior varsity games are scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.

The Spartan varsity baseball game for Wednesday, against Bremerton in Bremerton, has also been cancelled.

The JV Spartans, however, are tentatively scheduled to host Bremerton at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 19 on Bainbridge.

Also this Wednesday, the Spartan varsity tennis team will square off against Seattle Prep on the Bainbridge courts, starting at 3:30 p.m.

The JV tennis players are scheduled to play the Panthers from Prep at Rogers/Montlake Tennis Courts, also at 3:30 p.m.

The Bainbridge girls lacrosse teams will battle Seattle Prep at Memorial Stadium Wednesday, with the varsity game starting at 6 p.m. and the JV game following at 8 p.m.

The Spartan boys baseball “C” team is scheduled to play Wednesday, as well, with a 4 p.m. contest against South Kitsap at Marcus Whitman Junior High.

On Thursday, both varsity ball teams will play at home.

The boys baseball team is scheduled to play Central Kitsap on Bainbridge (the JV team is on the road against the Cougars); game time is 4 p.m.

The Spartan fastpitch softball welcomes Bishop Blanchet on Thursday. Action gets underway at 4 p.m.

The boys varsity lacrosse team hits the road again, with a game at Overlake High at 5 p.m.

Also Thursday, the Bainbridge varsity and JV tennis teams will test Kingston at Kingston High, with play starting at 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, March 21, the Spartans host Roosevelt in boys soccer.

The JV game is at 4 p.m. at Memorial Stadium, followed by varsity plat at 6 p.m.

The Spartan varsity tennis team will play Lakeside at Meadowbrook at 3:30 p.m., while the JV team will host Lakeside at the BHS courts, also at 3:30 p.m.

On Saturday, March 22, the Spartan varsity sailing team will participate in a Fleet Race/Combined Division Regatta at Sand Point in Seattle.

Members of the BHS track team are also expected to compete in the Varsity Invitational at South Kitsap.

The Bainbridge Ultimate teams — “C,” JV and varsity — will head to West Seattle for games against Chief Sealth, the West Side Wildcats and Team Shrubbery.

Finally, Bainbridge crew will row in an All-Island Regatta on Sunday, March 23 against Vashon Island at Vashon.
