The week in Spartan sports begins with Bainbridge working to complete some unfinished business with Ballard.

The Spartan girls fastpitch team will meet Ballard Monday, April 27 at Seattle’s Woodland Park to finish an earlier matchup. The game will start at the top of the eighth inning, with Ballard taking on the role of visitors. The game starts at 3 p.m. on Field 3.

The Spartans will play Ballard again at 4 p.m. for their regularly scheduled meeting, also on Field 3.

The junior varsity softball team will also play the Beavers, with the Metro matchup at 3:30 p.m. at Gilman Playground in Seattle.

The Spartan boys also find themselves on the road Monday for a baseball battle against Seattle Prep at Steve Cox Field. The first pitch is at 3:30 p.m.

BHS welcomes the Panthers from Prep to Bainbridge for a varsity tennis match. Play gets underway at 3:30 p.m.

The JV Spartan tennis team is in Seattle for a 3:30 p.m. Prep date at the Rogers/Montlake tennis courts.

Also Monday, the Spartan girls water polo team hosts Roosevelt for a varsity game at 3:50 p.m. at the Bainbridge Aquatics Center.

The Spartans will take the field against the Vikings from North Kitsap High in boys soccer on Bainbridge Monday. The JV team plays the Vikings at 5 p.m. at Bainbridge’s Memorial Stadium, and the varsity match begin at 7 p.m.

The Spartan soccer team will challenge Rainier Beach in a boys varsity match set for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 at the Southeast Athletic Complex.

The BHS C boys soccer team will host the Beavers from Ballard at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the high school stadium for a game originally planned for April 30.

The Spartan fastpitch team will also play in a rescheduled conference game Tuesday, against Roosevelt at 4 p.m. at Woodland Park, Field 5.

On Wednesday, April 29, the JV fastpitch team plays Garfield at Garfield High.

The JV boys baseball team is also in the city, for a 3:30 p.m. contest against Roosevelt at Green Lake Park.

The Spartan JV tennis team visits the Amy Yee Tennis Center for a 3:30 p.m. match against Garfield. The varsity team will stay on the Rock to welcome the Bulldogs for play that starts at 3:30 p.m.

Also Wednesday, the Spartan girls water polo team heads south for a game against Gig Harbor that starts at 3:30 p.m.

The boys varsity baseball team welcomes the Rough Riders to Bainbridge for a 4 p.m game at BHS.

The Spartan varsity girls lacrosse team hosts Lakeside at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Stadium.

The boys lacrosse team will also see action Wednesday night, against Eastlake at Eastlake High. The contest has a 7 p.m. start.

On Thursday, April 30, Bainbridge High hosts a varsity track meet with athletes from Ballard and Seattle Prep.

The boys C team hosts South Kitsap for a 4 p.m. baseball game at BHS.

The Spartan varsity fastpitch team will cross the water Thursday for a 4 p.m. game against Holy Names Academy at Woodland Park, Field 4.

On Friday, May 1, the Spartan girls lacrosse team heads to Seattle for a 3:30 p.m. contest against Seattle Prep on Woodland Park’s Field 2.

The boys C soccer team will play Olympic at Silverdale Stadium at 3:30 p.m.

The Bainbridge varsity softball team welcomes Nathan Hale to Bainbridge for a 3:30 p.m. game Friday. The JV softball team’s game against the Raiders follows at 5:30 p.m.

The BHS girls water polo team also returns home for a 3:50 p.m. matchup against Emerald Ridge at the Bainbridge Aquatics Center.

The Spartan boys lacrosse team is also home Friday for a 6:30 p.m. varsity game against Lakeside at Memorial Stadium.

The week in Spartan sports wraps up Saturday, May 2 with the Bainbridge rowers at the Montlake Cut for Opening Day.

The Bainbridge boys varsity runners will be in Kirkland for a track invite at Lake Washington High, while other tracksters will be at an invitational in Shoreline Saturday.
