The week in Spartan sports starts Tuesday, Jan. 27 with the Spartans playing host to the Lakeside Lions in boys basketball at Paski Gymnasium.
Action gets underway with the junior varsity and C team games at 5:15 p.m. The C team will play in the Commodore Gym. The varsity game starts at 7 p.m.
The Spartan girls basketball team is on the road Tuesday for games against Kingston. The JV game starts at 5:15 and the tipoff for the varsity game is 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, Jan. 28, the girls return home to play Lakeside. The JV game is at 5:15 and varsity action starts at 7 p.m.
On Thursday, Jan. 29, the boys JV basketball team is scheduled to play Chief Kitsap Academy at Bainbridge High. The game is at 5:30 p.m. in the main gym.
Also Thursday, Spartan wrestlers head to Ingraham High for a quad meet against the Rams that also includes Garfield and Bishop Blanchet. The meet starts at 6 p.m.
On Friday, Jan. 30, the BHS basketball teams travel to Ballard. The JV girls game has a 3 p.m. start, with the varsity girls game following at 6 p.m. The boys JV game is at 4:30, and the varsity double-header comes to a finish with the boys varsity game at 7:30 p.m.
The Spartan boys swim team competes at home Friday, against visiting O’Dea. The meet starts at 3:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Aquatics Center.
The BHS gymnastics team also competes against Ballard Friday, in a meet that starts at 4 p.m. at Nathan Hale High.
The week in Spartan sports wraps up Saturday, Jan. 31 with a varsity all-comers gymnastics meet at 10 a.m. at Ballard High. Gymnasts from Ballard, Chief Sealth, Holy Names Academy, Ingraham, Nathan Hale, Roosevelt, West Seattle and Bainbridge will compete.
Washington High will host a varsity all-comers meet in wrestling. Action starts at 10 a.m.
The Metro League will also host its all-comers meet Saturday at Helene Madison Pool in Seattle. The meet starts at 11 a.m.
The Spartan C team will battle Ballard in boys basketball at Lakeside High at noon Saturday.
The JV boys team welcomes Kingston to Bainbridge High for a game that starts at 3:15 p.m.
The varsity boys battle the Buccaneers at 5 p.m. Saturday in Paski Gymnasium.
