The week in Spartan sports — and the first game of the spring sports season — kicks off this week with the Bainbridge girls varsity lacrosse team taking on Kennedy Catholic.

The contest will be played at Sunset Park in SeaTac, and game time is 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 10.

The Spartan boys varsity lacrosse team welcomes Bellevue to Bainbridge Island for the season-opener on Friday, March 13. The game gets started at 7:30 p.m. at Bainbridge Memorial Stadium.

On Saturday, March 14, the Spartan boys C baseball team will host Olympic at Bainbridge High. The first pitch is at noon, and a second game is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Also Saturday, the Spartans will host the Logan Relays, a boys varsity track invitational at Bainbridge High. The invite starts at 2 p.m.

The Spartan girls water polo team will travel to Puyallup on Saturday for a jamboree hosted by Rogers (Puyallup). The jamboree starts at 3 p.m.
