The Spartans edged Lake Stevens 58-57 for seventh place in San Diego’s Surf ‘N’ Slam Classic Wednesday.

Bainbridge dropped its first contest, 63-48, to Woodcreek High School, from Roseville, Calif., Tuesday.

In the consolation bracket, the Spartans fell to British Columbia’s White Rock Christian Academy, 52-49.

Will DiIorio was named to the tournament’s “Surf” all-star team.

Bainbridge lost its second non-conference contest Tuesday, falling to Port Angeles 67-38.

The Spartans (4-4 overall, 2-2 in the Metro) resume league play Jan. 6 at Seattle Prep.
