Spartans topple O’Dea in boys golf matchup

The Spartans took some of the fight out of the Fighting Irish, claiming a 148-103 road win over the O’Dea boys varsity golf team.

SEATTLE – The Spartans took some of the fight out of the Fighting Irish Sept. 22, claiming a 148-103 road win over the O’Dea boys varsity golf team.

The top player of the day was Bainbridge’s captain Sam Warkentin, who finished the day with 18 points and a score of 35 on the par-36 course.

Nate Boegl chipped in 26 points; Colin Campbell, 25; both Brooks Wallace and Andy Becker managed 24 points; and Thomas Crowley finished the day with 21 points.

The win over O’Dea advanced the boys’ team to a perfect 2-0 season record so far this year.
