BAINBRIDGE – A 40-24 final score earned the Bainbridge High girls varsity basketball team their sixth win of the year Friday, Jan. 20 in a home court victory against the Chief Sealth Seahawks.
The rejuvenating win came on the heels of a dispiriting defeat against Rainier Beach just days before, and boosted the Bainbridge team’s overall season record to 6-9 (3-8 in conference).
“It was a big win for us in terms of Metro League standings,” said BHS Head Coach Henry Guterson.
The night saw several standout performances, the coach added.
“Olivia Wikstrom had 16 [points] and Taylor Tye had 11,” he said. “Grace Carson had four points, nine rebounds.”
