BURIEN — SW Seattle got drenched in a downpour of Spartan shots on goal as the BHS girls varsity lacrosse team toppled the Titans 19-2 Tuesday at Mosier Field.

Bainbridge dominated from start to finish. The Spartans jumped out to a 14-1 first half lead and kept the defensive clamps on in the second to earn their third win of the season.

A dozen players for BHS scored during the game.

Sonia Olson finished with a hat trick. Fellow Spartans Paige Brigham, Sophia Hagstormer, Robin Hilderman, Shaila Perry and Maggie Sweeney added two goals each.

Also adding to the Bainbridge point parade, with one goal each, were Natalie Beatie, Ellen Carpenter, Mackenzie Chapman, Rylee Dutton, Kiera Havill and Kyra Wortley.

Chapman also contributed five draw controls, a ground ball and one caused turnover, while Hilderman had four ground balls, two draws and one caused turnover.

Bainbridge improved to 3-1-0 with the win, while SW Seattle, a club team of West Seattle and Burien athletes, dropped to 0-2-0.
