BAINBRIDGE – The Panthers came ready to pounce — and pounce they did — as Seattle Prep jumped all over the Spartans in girls varsity volleyball and beat Bainbridge 25-18, 25-19 and 27-25 early this week.

Bainbridge never gave up, however, and came back from a big 9-2 deficit in the first game to throw a slight scare into Prep.

After a final timeout, the Panthers returned to form and finished out on top.

The Spartans stayed scrappy the entire contest, however, and challenged Prep the rest of the night.

Hannah Wagner helped pace the Spartans with seven kills and eight digs, while teammate Riley Kulfan contributed 10 kills and seven digs.

Adrienne Fountain had four big blocks for Bainbridge.
