Spartan ladies score big win against Seahawks

The Bainbridge High School varsity girls basketball team handily defeated visitors from Chief Sealth Wednesday, Jan. 8, earning their sixth win of the season.

The final score saw the Spartans up 74-27.

It was the team’s first win after two consecutive losses, which had stopped short a four-game winning streak.

The win brought the team’s overall season record to 6-6 (4-4 in conference) and ranked fifth in the Metro standings.

Garfield and Eastside Catholic, both boasting flawless 7-0 league records, are jostling for top spot.

The Spartans will next play in Paski Gymnasium, their penultimate home game of the year, against Ingraham, Friday, Jan. 31.
