The Spartans dominated the Buccaneers from the get-go as Bainbridge beat Kingston in gymnastics Jan. 16 159-55 at BHS.
The Spartans looked to keep momentum going after a 165-116 win against the Port Angeles Roughriders to open the season Jan. 9.
Kingston gymnasts Olivia Guzman and Jane Sperry were the only two who competed against the Spartans.
Spartans Jade Bereman, Maya Jimenez, Jacqui Beresford and Bella Fitzgerald competed in the vault event, with Bereman placing first with a score of 8.6 followed by Jimenez at 8.4.
The bars saw Bereman take first as well with a score of 7.9. Jimenez followed closely behind with a score of 7.8. Spartans Beresford and Fitzgerald took third and fourth.
The third event featured the beam, and Bereman once again stood out and took first place, earning a 9.5 score. Fitzgerald, Jimenez and Beresford followed closely behind with scores of 9.2, 9.1 and 8.9 respectively.
The final event was the floor routines. Bereman earned a sweep placing first with a score of 9.25. Jimenez followed at 9.1 and Beresford finished with 9.05.
Bereman, obviously, scored the highest out of all the gymnasts, earning a 35.25 score in the all-around. Jimenez came in second at 34.4 and Beresford third with 33.3.
