Just one member of the Bainbridge High varsity gymnastics squad made it to the event finals at the 2017 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 2A/3A State Tournament last week at the Tacoma Dome.

Remi Rosencrans advanced through Day One’s individual events to compete again in vault and bars Friday, but a nagging ankle injury earned the day before promptly whittled her scope further and forced her to scratch in the first event. On the bars she finished in sixth place overall, tied with Sehome’s Jordyn Correll, with a score of 9.275.

She’d finished in the top 15 in both events at the close of Day One, with a score of 8.950 for 11th in bars and 8.925 for 15th in vault.

The Review was there by the mat to capture all the action.
