No Friday Night Lights for you Bainbridge Island community.

The BI school district said today in its weekly newsletter that because of skyrocketing COVID-19 numbers there will not be space for the public or non-high school students at home football games.

The Spartans are scheduled to open their season tonight at 7 at home against Garfield.

The game will be live-streamed at www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/bainbridge-high-school-bainbridge-island-wa

Football players, cheerleaders, and members of the color guard and marching band have had the opportunity to reserve space for their families.

The remaining seats will be distributed to current Bainbridge and Eagle Harbor high school students.
