VANCOUVER, B.C. – Bainbridge Island Dive Club traveled to the 2014 iDive Invitational in Vancouver, British Columbia over Memorial Day weekend and brought home first-place wins in girls springboard diving.

Bainbridge divers also placed in the top five in boys springboard events.

More than 70 divers competed on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards and provided an exciting, high quality competition. Bainbridge Island residents Henry Sauermann and Carter Wolff had especially strong showings, as did Cammy Rouser and Jackie Hellmers.

The team will be participating in diving meets through July with the next one being Summer Junior Region 10 Championships in Santa Clara, California on June 13 as part of the qualifying system for the National Championships.

“We have a young, hard-working team that supports each other very well,” said Coach Chris Miller. “I expect you’ll hear a lot more from these kids.”
