SEATTLE – The cross country meet at Lower Woodland Park last Thursday saw awesome Bainbridge finishes in both mens and womens results and the Spartan squad ended the day ranked second in both brackets.
The meet was hosted by Bishop Blanchet and featured runners from Seattle Prep, O’Dea, Lakeside, Eastside Catholic and Holy Names Academy.
Bainbridge High took second place in the mens division with a team score of 52, beaten only by Bishop Blanchet (44).
In the womens division, BHS again took second with a score of 46. They were only topped by Holy Names (37).
It was the last regular meet of the year. The Spartans traveled to compete in the Metro League 3A Cross Country Championships Thursday, Oct. 22 to earn their shot at state.
