KENNESAW, Georgia – After qualifying at the Divisional Championships in Bend, Oregon in June, Emma Folkerts, 16, and Zoe Lang, 11, of the Island Rock Gym climbing team, advanced and competed in the USA Climbing National Championships in Kennesaw, Georgia last week.

Competing in the Sport (difficulty) discipline, Folkerts finished 34th in the Female Youth A category.

Competing in the Speed discipline, Lang finished second in the Female Youth D category, resulting in a guaranteed spot on the U.S. National Team.
